Today is day 1 of the challenge, but I have been away on summer vacation, so I am catching up on the pre-challenge.
Pre-challenge day 3: Installing google chrome with plugins
I have installed google chrome in the past, but I didn’t like it. I guess it just takes a bit of time getting used to something new.. I think I am keeping google chrome this time though, since firefox is so slow compared to chrome.
Pre-challenge day 4: Setting expectations
The goal in the challenge is making 1$ and sticking to the challenge.. I am writing on my progress here in this blog to help me stay commited
Pre-challenge day 5: Disclaimer
Just plappering, but I guess it has to be said…
Pre-challenge day 6: The magnificent symphony of four parts
If you’re only going to watch one pre-challenge video, then this should be the one.
Market research -> Traffic -> Conversion -> Product
Watch all the training videos here.
Day 6 is the last pre-challenge day, so now I am ready to get started on day 1 of the challenge

I can’t really remember if I ever finished the challenge, but now the challenge is starting again in a new format and I have another chance to do the challenge… And if you are interested you can follow my progress on this blog. My inner voice keeps telling me I can’t do this, it wont work, I will never make any money online, that I’m just a stupid day dreamer, that people will laugh of me and think I’m an idiot just wanting some quick cash if they knew what I was up to.
Ed Dale wrote the following in an e-mail to his list:
“Here’s the deal - you give me 30 minutes a day for seven days -
I’ll give you seven days off. We’ll do this seven times.”
At the end of this - you’ll know everything you need to know about
starting a business online.”
I want to know everything I need to know about starting a business online, so Ed, my time is yours.. Though my inner voice still keeps telling me I wont get it right and I wont be able to start my own business online and actually make any money from it..
Pre-Challenge day 1: Ustream

As you can see from the image, traffic is slowly picking up (this is search engine traffic only). I have to admit I have been lazy about the link building because I didn’t quite decide if I should keep working with this niche or dump it. I think I will increase my link building efforts before I make a decission.

Built the weebly site, social bookmarked it. Have submitted an article to ezinearticles and waiting for approval. Going to cook some food now, then build some links and watch some more of the 30dc videos.

I went to the theatre last evening instead of working on my site as I had planned.
Today I have built the hubpage for my new phrase. Social bookmarked it and done some link building.
Tomorrow I will build the weebly page.. I think I could be more productive working in another niche, but I will stick to this niche. Possibly also the ezine article if I can manage to be a bit more productive than I have been today…

Day 26 is about getting some income from putting ads on the blog if we decide not to proceed with the niche. Not something I want to do at this point…

Main phrase: ranked number 10. Singular of main phrase: ranked number 22. Sub phrase: Ranked number 8.
From my estimations I should be getting about 35 visitors a day if listed at number 9-10 for those phrases assuming I will get 2% of the searchers clicking through to my site. My current listings should give 10 unique visitor a day, for the past 4 days my average is 13 pr day from search engines. So I think it is too early to dump this niche. I either need to increase my current rankings or try another phrase with less competition.
When it comes to sales I sent 150 clicks and made 2 sales, however it was not the product I was trying to sell.. and I made a whopping0.88$. So I will be replacing my affiliate offer with something else..

Nothing to do here, just information on an autoposting feature of wordpress direct.
My google rankings are dancing a bit up and down. I think I am going to try to target another phrase with less competition, although concidering the amount of work I did to get to the current rankings I think it should be possible to get better rankings.
